Fractions

As part of our maths work this term, we have been learning about fractions. We are using words 'whole', 'half' and 'quarter' to describe the fractions we have made. Take a look at some of the activities we have been doing to help us learn about fractions... Some of us even took our learning beyond the classroom and were thinking about fractions at playtime and lunchtime!

Bell Ringing!

As part of our Senses topic, P1/2 have been investigating sound. We listened to some different sounds and tried to identify them. We all managed to get lots of them correct! We also had some fun bell ringing! We listened to the sound of each bell. Each different coloured bell made a different note. Some of us worked together to play a little tune! We hope you like it :)

Trees

P1/2 have enjoyed learning about trees as part of our ECO topic this term. We have been exploring the trees in our playground and have made some leaf and bark rubbings. We have been discussing the importance of trees in our environment and the things they need to grow and live. We even had a go at recycling some paper!
